InCeram units are first duplicated using Vita “Special Plaster” material. Once the material has fully set, an extremely fine-grained ceramic oxide referred to as “Powdered Slip” is applied, by hand, to the die in the desired thickness and built up if necessary to the appropriate contour. The material is then fired in specialized Vita InCeramat ovens. A shaded glass material in powder form is then applied over the coping and fired. The molten glass infiltrates the coping resulting in a fine grained structure with a glass matrix. Excess glass is removed and porcelain is applied.
